Melanie Brown bedbound after falling ill

Former Spice Girls star Melanie Brown has been left bedbound for two days after falling ill in New York.

The singer jetted to the Big Apple last week for work commitments, but has come down with a mystery illness.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, she writes, "2 days in bed not feeling good, that NY heat got my (sic) sick!!! Boo hoo."

Alongside the message, Brown uploaded a snap of herself looking forlorn in bed.
