Men in Black III topples The Dictator at box office

Will Smith's alien-busting sequel Men In Black Iii has rocketed to the top of the box office chart in its opening weekend.

The action comedy took £2.9 million in ticket sales, knocking last week's favourite, The Dictator, into second place with £1.07 million.

Superhero blockbuster The Avengers also dropped one place to third, with takings of £872,664, and Cameron Diaz's pregnancy comedy What To Expect When You're Expecting debuted in fourth place, with £661,617.

Last week's number three, Dark Shadows, rounds out the top five with £409,560.
