Mica Paris' unhealthy diet at start of career

Soul singer Mica Paris lived on a diet of "coffee and cigarettes" at the beginning of her career after a record company executive criticised her fluctuating weight.
The star has spent years battling to stay slim, and she recently shed several dress sizes by adopting a healthier lifestyle, but she will never forget the day her boss insulted her figure and prompted her to adopt a series of crash diets.
She tells the Daily Mirror, "When I was around 23, a record label executive told me I looked like two people in one body. I'd been a size eight and put on about two stone because my body had changed after having a baby.
"I freaked out. It hurt and it took a long time to get over that. I felt under enormous pressure to be thin, so I made sure that every time I had a record out I was skinny.
"But to get so slim before the cover shoot I existed on just coffee and cigarettes."
