CCTV Punch Attacks: Michael Ayoade Jailed
A man who punched a teenage girl and a female student, leaving them unconscious on the ground, has been jailed for four years.
Michael Ayoade, 35, was caught on CCTV staging the random attacks in Plaistow, east London.
In the second attack on November 13 last year, he jogged up behind a 16-year-old girl in the High Street and punched her in the head. The teenager fell to the ground, breaking three of her teeth.
A year earlier, Ayoade punched a university student in the side of the head at Plaistow tube station. His victim, Daniella Montieth, was taken to hospital with a broken tooth.
Passing sentence at Inner London Crown Court, Judge Roger Chapple said Ayoade, of Greengate Street, Plaistow, had launched "vicious, unprovoked attacks on young, lone females".
He said: "These images are indeed worth many thousands of words. The footage captures graphically the shocking violence of these attacks.
"In both cases there was but one blow. In the case of (the 16-year-old) it can plainly be seen from the CCTV footage that the force behind the blow was massive.
"The ferocity of the blow that you struck to her after running up behind her with full force was truly shocking.
"In both cases the force of the blow was such as to render the victims unconscious albeit mercifully not for long."
Ayoade, who is originally from Nigeria, followed the teenager for 800m before attacking her.
Prosecutor Joel Smith told the court Ayoade said she had "looked at him in a rude way" and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken "an insult from a little person like that".
Ayoade, who was arrested shortly after the attack, admitted two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm and one of possessing cannabis after a bag of the drug was found at his home.
Defending, Gillian Frost said Ayoade, who had smoked three or four cannabis joints and drunk a cup of vodka before attacking the teenager, had not wanted to cause more serious harm to either woman.
He was jailed for four years for the attack on the teenager and 19 months for punching the student, although the two sentences will run concurrently.
There was no separate penalty for the cannabis charge.

Nasty piece of work Prosecutor Joel Smith told the court Ayoade said she had "looked at him in a rude way" and that he could not go through the rest of the day having taken "an insult from a little person like that". It obvious what happened. This monster made a pass at the girls, then got blanked and given a dirty look to explain what a low life he is, and bang you have it.

Deportation would infringe his Human Rights silly.

shirley sutton
What about the rights of the women he's assaulting???

I agree deportation would be the best thing after he has served his meager sentence, such violence cannot be tolerated he deserved a longer sentence as i`m sure he will re offend as soon as he is released.

Clifford Loveland
After he completes his jail sentence he should be deported back to Nigeria. Time this country showed those that come here we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour. But that will never happen.

Mike MCDonough
With any luck he'll get his just deserts in prison.

Gordon Wright
Oh, he will Mike. He is going to find himself in a place where he needs to watch his back all the time.............. With any luck, he will get plenty of what he apparently likes to dish out..........

Beast, make him swim home at that or leave him to drown

Robert Hare
He should be deported straight away and made to serve his sentence in Nigeria.why should the british tax payer fund his punishment. Upon release from prison banned from ever returning to the uk. But we know this won't be the case human rights lawyers have already penciled in his dates of release and when the home secretary of that time recommendeds deportation they will swing into action

In mitigation it was said he smoked 4 joints & drank a cup of vodka and had not wanted to cause more serious harm to either woman. My question is after that concoction how the hell did he even know what he wanted.??

What a very brave individual. I notice he only attacks women and from behind. A find upstanding citizen!!!!!!

Im afraid these sort of crimes are far too common place these days. 9 years prison, sell every posession he has and all his assets & share proceeds between his victims THEN deport him. Came to the UK with nothing and should leave the same way.

Coward!!!! Notice he doesn't choose a man his own size ! Can't be that stoned out of his head can he ???? I hope karma catches up with him !!!!

Agree absolutely with immediate deportation. We've got enough home-grown violent, women haters, we don't need to import any more. can't wait for LOUISA to get on here. I await with interest her take on how misunderstood he is and how wrong we all will be for our comments.

I think you are misjudging Louisa I am sure she will not in any way defend the violent actions of this man. The fact that she tries to understand why people behave in this abhorrent manner is I think in a hope that the knowledge can be used to help stop such behaviour. That does not mean that they should not be punished and yes possibly deported
