Michael Buble tied to truck for O2 advert stunt
Canadian crooner Michael Buble felt apprehensive about filming an advert to promote his upcoming London residency because the producers tied him to a moving truck for a tricky stunt.
The singer is set to play 10 dates at London's O2 Arena next summer and he recorded a TV commercial to encourage fans to buy tickets.
In the promo, he is seen doing his trademark stage slide all the way through the arena from his dressing room to front of house in one continuous movement, and Buble admits filming the sequence was particularly difficult.
He tells The Sun, "I watched the Foo Fighters one (O2 Arena advert) and Coldplay's and thought it was great, but when I turned up (for the shoot), I thought, 'Oh s**t' - even the stuntman wouldn't do it.
"I love to slide on stage so they thought it would be cool to do that all the way through so they built a track in the floor - that's no special effects or CGI (computer generated imagery). They then proceeded to tow me behind this truck at about 30 miles per hour.
"I said to my manager, 'This is crazy, what if something happens?' He just said, without hesitation, 'That's why we have insurance.' I was like, 'Oh f**k!' But it was fun making it."
