Mick Taylor scraps tour dates

Former Rolling Stones star Mick Taylor has called off a series of shows in Scotland and a planned tour of Australia.

The guitarist, who rejoined his Rolling Stones bandmates for their reunion dates last year, scheduled a number of solo shows for the spring, but he has now axed two Scottish gigs and a trip Down Under.

Taylor insists the shows have been postponed, not cancelled, but doesn't give any reason for the decision.

A statement posted on his website reads, "Due to unforeseen circumstances the planned shows in Reeth, Kinross and the Australian tour have been postponed. We will update you when there is any further information."

Taylor's Scottish shows were due to take place next month, while he was scheduled to begin touring Australia in April.
