Miley Cyrus gets inked by tattoo artist Kat Von D

Singer/actress Miley Cyrus is sporting new skin art thanks to celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D.

The Party in the U.S.A. hitmaker has over a dozen tattoos, including a dreamcatcher across her rib, an anchor on her wrist, and a quote from former American President Theodore Roosevelt on her forearm, and now she has added a friendship symbol to her growing collection of body art.

Von D tattooed the piece on her new pal's right elbow at her High Voltage Tattoo studio in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and the artist admits she had a blast working with the pop star.

Uploading an image of her work on Twitter.com on Thursday night, she wrote, "Loved tattooing @MileyCyrus yestrday (sic)! Simple symbols of friendship make beautiful tattoos."
