Miley Cyrus: Scissor-Wielding Intruder Jailed
A man convicted of trespassing at Miley Cyrus' home while carrying a pair of scissors has been jailed for 18 months.
Jason Luis Rivera was also found guilty of resisting arrest after he was caught at the actress and singer's home.
The 40-year-old was sentenced by a Superior Court judge in Los Angeles.
Rivera has been held in jail since his arrest on September 8, when authorities say he was caught at Cyrus' home carrying the scissors.
He had pleaded not guilty to the charges following his arrest.
Police say Rivera told them he was a friend of the star and repeatedly threw himself against an outside wall as if trying to break in.
Cyrus was not home during the incident.
Cyrus achieved wide fame for her role as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel sitcom Hannah Montana.
Since her Disney days she has cultivated a more adult image, filming The Last Song in 2010, a coming-of-age drama that included her single Party In The USA.
