Mollie King's surprise birthday party treat

Pop singer Mollie King was left stunned on Sunday when her loved ones threw her a surprise birthday party, more than a week before her big day.

The Saturdays star turns 25 on 4 June, but her friends and family caught her unawares by hosting a bash a week early.

In a post on her Twitter.com page, the singer writes, "Oh my goodness I've just had a surprise birthday party!!!!!! Best and biggest surprise EVER! Thank u (sic) everyone for coming!! Speechless!

"Awww I love my friends and fam (sic)! This has been THE best weekend for partying!!!"

King's celebration took place just a day after she headed out in London for her bandmates' Una Healy and Rochelle Wiseman's joint bachelorette party.
