Murder Police Find 'Grave' Dug In Garden
A man police believe was murdered more than two weeks ago was set to buried in his own back garden, it has been suggested.
Officers found the body of Zbigniew Michniewicz, 36, in his house in Greenford, west London, last Thursday after neighbours raised concerns about him.
Police also found a hole in the garden big enough to be used as a grave.
It is believed that Mr Michniewicz died after a fight involving three white males one evening two or three weeks ago. Police have not yet revealed the cause of death.
A spokesman for Scotland Yard described the discovery as "a large hole, big enough for a body, in the garden at the rear of the property".
Two people, a man of 20 and a 17-year-old girl, who are understood to be residents of the same house in Greenford Road, were arrested in connection with the 'killing'.
Both have been bailed until later this month.
Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh, of the Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: "I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious at the address or who may have some information.
"I also want to hear from anyone who stayed at or visited the property in the last few weeks."
Detectives are appealing for neighbours who back on to the property, and who may have seen something suspicious going on in the garden, to come forward.
Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
