Quentin Reilly, who the boy band star knew from his hometown of Mullingar, Ireland, passed away in hospital after suffering multiple injuries in the horrific accident.
Two other friends of Horan - Scott Hogan and Lee Scally - were also taken to hospital following the crash.
Taking to his Twitter.com page on Sunday, the singer paid tribute to his friends, writing, "Hope the lads make a full recovery, also Quentin will be missed. Thoughts with the Reilly family at this time."
