Nyong'o And Pitt To Reunite For Americanah
Lupita Nyong'o and Brad Pitt are teaming up again on a big screen adaptation of the book Americanah.
The Hollywood Reporter says Pitt's Plan B production company has signed up his 12 Years A Slave co-star for the film.
Americanah, written by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is a love story about two Nigerians and how they are affected by immigration and the pull of home.
The novel was nominated for a number of prizes and named one of the top 10 books of 2013.
Nyong'o, who will also be a producer for the film, said: "It is such an honour to have the opportunity to bring Ms Adichie's brilliant book to the screen.
"Page after page, I was struck by Ifemelu and Obinze's stories, whose experiences as African immigrants are so specific and also so imminently relatable. It is a thrilling challenge to tell a truly international story so full of love, humour and heart."
Nyong'o made her Hollywood debut in Steve McQueen's Oscar-winning film. She won the best supporting actress Oscar for her portrayal of Patsey.
The Mexican-Kenyan will begin filming JJ Abrams Stars Wars: Episode VII this summer.
Adichie has also written Purple Hibiscus and Half Of A Yellow Sun.
