Olivia Wilde To Take On Lead In Jagger Drama
Olivia Wilde is to take on a lead role in Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's new rock'n'roll pilot for HBO.
The as-yet-untitled drama focuses on the drug and sex-fuelled music business of 1970s New York.
The show has been written by Terence Winter, who wrote The Wolf Of Wall Street and produced Boardwalk Empire, and Breaking Bad producer George Mastras.
House actress Wilde is currently pregnant with her first child with her actor fiance Jason Sudeikis.
She has also recently starred in the films Her and Rush.
Wilde will play Devon Finestra, the wife of Richie, a record executive trying to resurrect his label.
He is played by Bobby Cannavale, who stars in Boardwalk Empire and alongside Oscar winner Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine.
Wilde tweeted she "could not be more psyched" about the role.
It is thought filming will begin in the summer, after Wilde has given birth.
Jagger originally conceived the idea as a film and the TV version has reportedly been in the works since 2010.
The musician, who will act as an executive producer on the show, has previously collaborated with Scorsese on Shine A Light, the band's concert film which was released in 2008.
