Olly Murs wants to break America with 90210 cameo

Pop star Olly Murs is hoping to boost his chances of cracking the U.S. with a cameo on hit American show TV 90210.

The singer, who found fame on The X Factor, toured Stateside last year with boy band One Direction, and now he is stepping up his campaign to find fame across the Atlantic by performing on teen series 90210.

Murs will perform his hits Troublemaker and Right Place Right Time and also show off his acting skills alongside stars Matt Lanter and Michael Steger, according to Entertainment Weekly.

He follows in the footsteps of singers Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado and Carly Rae Jepsen, who have all performed their tracks on the show.

Murs' episode will air in the U.S. in April.
