One Direction Concert 'Fake Bomber' Is Jailed
A man has been jailed for eight months after admitting calling in a fake bomb threat before a One Direction conncert last year.
William H Klein, 47, called up the offices of Hersheypark Stadium, in Pennsylvania, on July 5 last year, and said: "If One Direction plays tomorrow, the stadium will blow up."
Prosecutors said the call was tracked to a payphone at a 7-Eleven in New Jersey, and Klein was identified from surveillance footage.
The stadium was placed on lockdown before the concert, followed by a bomb sweep and fans' bags were checked as they arrived for the gig.
