One Direction's Harry Styles is single

One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles is a single man, according to his mother.

The teen star has been linked with a string of beauties since shooting to fame on The X Factor, including American model Emma Ostilly and TV presenter cougar Caroline Flack.

But his mum Anne Cox has good news for his legion of female fans - Styles is still on the market.

She tells Heat magazine: "He'll make a nice boyfriend when he's ready. He's very sensitive and isn't a Jack the Lad. At the moment he doesn't want to tie himself down. He had one or two girlfriends when he was younger, but no one very special. I'd love Harry to have a family one day, and he'd love one, too. He'd make a fantastic dad."
