Outkast Reunion: 40 Festival Dates Confirmed
Outkast have confirmed they will play 40 festival dates in 2014 after the announcement that they are reuniting to mark their 20th anniversary.
The Grammy-winning rap duo revealed on their website that the shows will be played "around the world" but did not reveal exactly where or when.
Andre 'Andre 3000' Benjamin and Antwan 'Big Boi' Patton will kick off their tour at Coachella in the US in April alongside fellow headliners Muse and Arcade Fire.
"It's truly an honour to celebrate 20 years and still be free to do music the way we choose," said Big Boi.
"Don't just think outside the box, know that there is no box. I'm looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans - stank you smelly much, this is for y'all!"
Benjamin and Patton never formally broke up but stopped working together after the release of the 2006 soundtrack, Idlewild, at the height of their popularity.
They have not performed together for nearly 10 years.
Andre 3000 said: "And imagine, all we wanted to do was rap! I am thankful to have been a part of a group that allowed me to explore anything that came to mind and have fun doing it.
"Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting Outkast."
Patton has released a couple of solo albums in the interim, and Benjamin has been acting and making occasional musical guest appearances.
The pair have sold more than 25 million albums.
