A game which gets players to quickly move their car into a space has parked itself at the top of the free apps chart.

Parking Frenzy, by Games2win, challenges players to get their car to the parking spot without damaging it.

The game knocked 3D Mini Golf Challenge, by Digital Chocolate, off the top spot on the free iPhone chart.

Bridge Constructor free held on to second spot, while Official Uefa Euro 2012 made a timely entry at third place. 3D Mini Golf Challenge slumped to ninth on the list.

Free messaging system WhatsApp Messenger continued its dominance of recent weeks by topping the paid-for iPhone app chart.

The app, from WhatsApp Inc, allows cross-platform mobile messaging that lets people exchange messages without having to pay for SMS.

Bridge Constructor topped the chart for paid iPad apps, while Bridge Constructor Free was number one in the list for free iPad apps.
