Pensioner Crashes Into Dunkin' Donuts Store

Customers were forced to scatter when an elderly driver smashed her car through the front window of a Dunkin' Donuts shop.

Police believe Barbara Makous' vehicle was in the wrong gear and she panicked when she hit the accelerator pedal, sending her saloon car over a kerb and into the store.

CCTV footage shows tables and chairs sent flying, at least one customer diving for cover and a mother and young child running for their lives as the vehicle careers through the shop before coming to rest in the front section of the shop.

Miraculously no-one was seriously injured and police called to the Ivybridge shopping centre in Roxborough, Philadelphia, decided not to charge the driver.

Shopper Dawn Colti said: "That's scary, the car must have been right here - it could have hit people just walking by."

Within a few hours, workers had boarded up the badly damaged shop front.

what do you think?
