People's Choice Awards: Glee Leads Nominations

Ahead of the glamour and glitz of the Golden Globes, The Baftas and the Oscars - first up is the People's Choice Awards.

The 40th annual show, where fans determine the nominees and winners across categories of music, movies and television, is taking place in Los Angeles.

Glee leads TV nominations with eight nods, including Jane Lynch and Lea Michele who are both up for Favourite Comedic TV Actress.

Katy Perry holds the most music nominations with five, while Gravity star Sandra Bullock also holds five film nominations.

British hopefuls include Downton Abbey, One Direction and actor Andrew Lincoln for The Walking Dead.

Categories include Favourite On-Screen Chemistry, Favourite TV Bromance and Favourite TV Anti-Hero.

Beth Behrs and Kat Dennings from the sitcom 2 Broke Girls are hosting the ceremony.

Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson is to receive this year's People's Choice Award for Favourite Humanitarian.
