Pixie Lott launching Poppy Appeal
Pixie Lott will show her support for the armed forces by performing a free concert in London on Wednesday.
The Boys and Girls hitmaker will help launch the annual Poppy Appeal charity drive for the Royal British Legion by playing the show in Leicester Square in the capital.
The yearly campaign raises funds for the armed forces community, and Lott, whose grandfather was in the Royal Navy, joined soldiers at London's RAF Northolt base on Tuesday to boost awareness of the appeal.
She tells The Sun, "The lads were all really welcoming and showed me all the kit they use in Afghanistan.
"What struck me the most was how young they all were. It's amazing the selfless commitment - their bravery is beyond words. That's why I'm standing shoulder to shoulder with our brave boys and girls."
Singer Alesha Dixon will also perform at the concert.
