PMQs: Cameron Accused Over Borrowing
Labour leader Ed Miliband has attacked David Cameron in the wake of GDP figures which showed the British economy shrank at the end of 2012.
Mr Miliband, at PMQs, declared it was time for Mr Cameron to admit that "it's hurting but it's not working" when it comes to the Government's austerity measures.
The Prime Minister hit back, asking: "I have to ask him what is his plan? It's a three point plan - more spending, more borrowing and more debt."
GDP figures for the final quarter of last year, published last Friday, showed the economy contracted by 0.3% over the three months.
This outstripped most forecasts and raised fears of a triple-dip recession, which piles even more pressure on Chancellor George Osborne.
