President Of Iraq In Hospital After Stroke

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani is taken to hospital in Baghdad after having a stroke, an official says.

Doctors are attempting to stablise Mr Talabani's condition but he may be flown to another country for emergency treatment, said Prime Minister's spokesman Ali al-Moussawi.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is at the hospital in the Iraqi capital.
