Press conference not shown at trial

Jurors in the upcoming trial of Michael Jackson's doctor won't see a recording of a press conference by the singer promoting his final concerts.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor ruled that the March 2009 press conference isn't relevant to what happened in the bedroom of Jackson's rented mansion on the day he died in June 2009.

Nareg Gourjian, a defense attorney for Dr Conrad Murray, argued the footage showed Jackson was not physically fit and had only agreed to perform 10 final concerts.

By the time of his death, Jackson had been committed for 50 shows at London's O2 arena.
