Professor Green Arrested After Car Crash
Chart star Professor Green was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after police were called to reports of a robbery in south London.
Officers called to the scene of the suspected mugging at about 2.40am on Sunday found the rapper's Mercedes had been in a crash with a van.
No one was injured but the star, real name Stephen Manderson, was questioned at a police station where he was bailed to return later this month.
A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: "Inquiries into the circumstances of the robbery and collision are ongoing."
The rapper, who recently married Made In Chelsea's Millie Mackintosh, last month postponed his autumn tour saying he needed time to finish his new album after being involved in a car accident.
He had been due to play 12 dates in November but they have been rescheduled for May next year.
On having to postpone the tour, Professor Green said: "Firstly, I can't apologise enough for postponing the tour, I'm as excited to see you all as I hope you are me!
"Everything was on schedule and then I was unfortunate enough to end up sandwiched between two cars leaving my health and album/touring schedule in absolute jeopardy.
A spokesman for Green told Sky News that he had no comment to make on the arrest.
In July 2010, Professor Green released his debut album, Alive Till I'm Dead,
The rapper had a number one hit in 2011 with Read All About It, which featured vocalist Emeli Sand?/p>
