Quentin Tarantino to stop directing after tenth film

Quentin Tarantino wants to quit Hollywood after shooting his tenth movie as he fears he will end up as an "old-man filmmaker".

The Pulp Fiction director is getting ready to release his eighth film, Django Unchained, which stars Jamie Foxx, but he admits his self-imposed retirement is not far off.

Tarantino has just two movies to go before he considers calling it a day but is keenly aware that one directorial slip-up can ruin future projects.

He tells Playboy magazine, "I just don't want to be an old-man filmmaker... Directors don't get better as they get older. Usually the worst films in their filmography are those last four at the end. I am all about my filmography, and one bad film f**ks up three good ones."
