Rebecca Ferguson breaks her leg

Singer Rebecca Ferguson has been ordered to take six weeks off work after breaking her leg.

The X Factor star was enjoying a night out earlier this week when she fell over and injured herself.

She was treated in hospital and doctors insisted she take more than a month off to recover, but Ferguson refused to let the injury slow her down and fulfilled a commitment to perform on TV show Britain's Got Talent on Thursday.

She sang sitting down with her broken leg propped up on a stool and when asked about it by the show's hosts, she said, "'I had a bit of a night out and fell over. I broke my leg."

Ferguson previously told fans on her Twitter.com page, "I have never broken anything its horrible... Docs (sic) signed me off work for 6 weeks but I might have to be a little rebel can't miss (work)."
