Friends Welcome Birth Of Beyonce's Baby

Friends of the American singer Beyonce have welcomed the birth of her first child, a baby girl.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who is a close friend of the singer and her husband Jay-Z, wrote on Twitter: "Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already."
Amid confusion about the order of the baby's name, Paltrow also confirmed that the little girl has been called Blue Ivy Carter.
Friend and music mogul Russell Simmons was also among the first to congratulate the couple on the new arrival, tweeting: "Congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z."
Singer Rihanna tweeted: "Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih."
And Take That star Gary Barlow wrote: "Congrats to Beyonce and Jay-Z on the birth of their first child Blue Ivy... Special moment!"
Beyonce's sister Solange also tweeted that the new arrival was "the most beautiful girl in the world".
Beyonce, 30, is believed to have checked in to the Lenox Hill hospital on Friday night under the alias Ingrid Jackson.
She had rented out the whole of the fourth floor for $1.3m (£840,000) and gave birth in a private wing, according to the New York Daily News.
E! News reported that it had been a scheduled Caesarean section.
People were reportedly seen bringing bags of takeaway food and a dozen bottles of red wine into the heavily-guarded hospital wing on the Upper East Side on Saturday night.
It was claimed even doctors and nurses were barred from entering the fourth floor after 11pm, prompting one to complain that he had patients to see.
Hospital workers were said to have put tape over security cameras and were forcing employees to hand in their mobiles to stop photographs being leaked.
Beyonce's husband, rapper Jay-Z, 42, whose real name is Shawn Carter, is reported to have been at his wife's side for the birth.
The couple got married in April 2008 after dating for around six years.
In November, Jay-Z told E! News: "Your child could come to you and have any type of conversation. I always hope for that kind of open relationship."
Former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland appeared to let slip the baby's sex in an interview in the same month.
Rowland said: "I have no idea what I'm going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible.
"She won't be spoiled but she will be very well looked-after."
what do you think?

Yaay congrats! Some happy news as opposed to all the murders/stabbing and racial abuse stories I've seen up in the past few weeks. Thinks its nice to spread a little joy!

Wonder if the people who got pushed to one side, and those who had phones taken off them feel the same way, she is no one more special than anyone else giving birth

gemmawh1
No Julie she isn't, but she has every right to want to give birth to her baby as she wishes and fortunately for her she has the money to do it. This baby girl is going to spend many years being in the public eye so for the brief time she can be kept away from prying eyes B and J are well within their rights to do so.

When did this become world news?

geoff waring

Behave! Lol!

She's just a singer and it's just a baby. Why so much hype and what right does she have to take up the whole floor of a hospital? As one medic is reported to have said - there are other patients to consider as well. She has just shown how selfish she actually is. Whether she is good at what she does or not, whether she earns a lot of money or not, when it comes to the need for medical attention she is no more important than the next person. She will be judged - God giveth and God taketh away!

Julie Crumpton
Well not believing in god, i wouldnt know, but correct on your other comments!

gemmawh1
You will never be a mother and you will never have the inctinct of motherhood. Fatherhood is different with different feelings. Her instinct is to shield and protect and she and J have the ability to do it. Whether anyone agrees with their decisions or not.

wonderful news !!!!

Julie Crumpton
Why, in particular, are you related?

Carley Price Fazer
What right does she have to rent the whole floor of the hospital, and she was too posh to push. What a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharlie 'pogz' Jaye Sleney
Congratulations beyonce&Jay-z on the wonderful birth of Ivy-Blue carter :) xxx

Julie Crumpton
Innit! Anybody else would just get on with it!

Julie Crumpton
Is this gonna change anybodys life, apart from them when hello mag gets exclusive rights! A baby is a lovely thing to happen, i think what gets up peoples noses is the money spent needlessly, and them thinking they are really something special! And to posh to push!

SamThompson312
its a private hospital folks so she has EVERY right to rent out whatever she likes. They are businesses that are there to make money!! Its not like she took over a NHS ward ffs!! Cant believe how jealous some people can be! Also, love how all you guys have all this expert medical info that lets you know she was "too posh to push". If you dont have all the info, then dont make stuff up!!

Julie Crumpton
Why all the hype? A scheduled c section, a convienient birth then, no one is jealous, sam, some very valid points made, RE-READ THE ARTICLE!!!!

Richard Gould
Didn't you read the bit about another medic wanting to see his patients too??? They have a right to medical care too. Are you too ill-educated to understand this. It is not about jealousy at all.

Me to gemmawh1 I'm a mother of 2 boys and my labour was terrible both times I wanted a c-section with my second but by time doctors had prepped it was to late! I wish them all the best and don't blame bey for having a planned c-section!

gemmawh1
Have I missed something Rachel? I'm not against c-sections and nor am I under any illusion that some labours are awful for some women, I praise all women for going through labour-blokes couldn't do it!

Rachel henshaw
Lol no gem, think if it was trun men their would never be a natural birth again lol not got the stamina I salute all mothers wether they push or not! It after the birth that the hard work starts so why cause your self or your child any undue stress in the mean time?!

gemmawh1
Oh I get you now! I thought i'd spoken out of turn or something! Nope they certainly won't ever understand-I could squeeze their goolies whilst they watch a woman in labour and they still wouldn't grasp the level of pain! For starters you have to concentrate and breathe aswell as other things and we all know fellas can't even do two things at once!
