Rhino Bites Woman At Zoo 'Meet And Greet'
A rhino bit a woman's finger at a zoo "meet and greet" programme that let visitors pay to touch and feed the animal.
Mshindi, a black rhinoceros, bit the woman while she was feeding the 13-year-old animal at Denver Zoo.
The zoo said that the woman had to be taken to hospital although her condition was not disclosed.
Officials called the incident a "terrible accident" but said they did not think the rhino was purposely trying to harm her.
The zoo this year started offering the rhino "meet and greet" in which visitors who paid an extra $60 (£38) were offered a chance to touch and feed a rhino.
Other zoos have had similar programmes.
The Denver Zoo said it would report the accident to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and has shut down the programme.
