Ridley Scott Producing Halo 'Digital Feature'
Gladiator director Ridley Scott is set to produce a 'digital feature' based on the hit Xbox game Halo, according to reports.
Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, who has previously directed episodes of Battlestar Galactica, will direct the feature, says Hollywood site The Wrap.
Details are vague, and it is not specified what a 'digital feature' actually means.
It is unlikely to be a Hollywood movie, which Microsoft ruled out in January.
A separate television series is also under way, meaning Scott's production is unlikely to make it to the small screen either.
Some analysts have speculated that it could be a one-off programme or series of shorts which would be downloadable through the new Xbox One.
Microsoft is expected to announce more details about the project at E3 in June.
The production is likely to debut before the end of the year, reports say.
Halo is a multi-billion dollar military science fiction gaming franchise, which released its first game in 2001.
