Rizzle Kicks' Harley: Film Role 'Will Shock'
Rizzle Kicks singer Harley has told Sky News that people will be shocked by the character he plays in a "gritty" new film.
He described the person he will portray in London movie Meet The Monsters as "mean".
The role is in contrast to Rizzle Kicks' upbeat temperament that the public are more familiar with.
Harley said: "People see us as very happy and positive, and I think my character will shock people."
The film was written by a friend and Harley revealed shooting was due to take place next month.
He said he asked to read the script "out of curiosity" and then did an audition, after which he was offered the role.
Jordan, his music partner, also told Sky they had been branching out with other projects and were not worried about failure.
He said: "We are not afraid of failing in music at all, as we are perfectly capable of doing other things.
"We've shown glimpses of that with presenting, and we intend to do more."
The hip hop pair's latest album Roaring 20s charted at number three and they revealed it was inspired by jazz and the film Midnight In Paris.
Performing at a gig to celebrate the new HP Connected Music platform, Jordan said: "We really loved that age of music - the jazz age.
"We made a song called Jive on the album about the 1920s. We realised the basic statement the Roaring 20s could represent either the era or us being in our twenties.
"And then we watched Midnight In Paris by Woody Allen and it completely maximised our love for that time and so we wanted to name our album after it."
Among the stars that Rizzle Kicks collaborated with on the album were Fatboy Slim and Jamie Cullum.
