Robin Thicke And Paula Patton To Separate
Blurred Lines singer Robin Thicke and actress Paula Patton have announced they are to separate after nearly 10 years of marriage.
Thicke, 36, and Patton, 38, met when they were teenagers and married in 2005. They have a son, Julian, who was born in 2010.
"We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," the couple said in a joint statement.
Thicke had a breakthrough last year with the international hit Blurred Lines, which was nominated for several Grammy awards.
The couple were pictured together on the red carpet at the ceremony last month.
His raunchy performance of the track with a twerking Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards caused a sensation last August.
The video for the song was deemed too sexy for YouTube and was criticised by some for objectifying women.
Patton has appeared in the films Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Idlewild, and Precious, which was based on the novel Push by Sapphire.
She also appeared in Thicke's music videos, including Lost Without U and Love After War.
