Ronnie Wood opens up about new wife

Newlywed rocker Ronnie Wood wishes he had met his third wife Sally Humphreys sooner as he is convinced there is no woman "more suited" to him than her.

The Rolling Stones guitarist exchanged vows with the theatre producer in a private ceremony at London's The Dorchester hotel on 21 December after a six-month whirlwind romance.

Wood is 31 years older than his bride, and admits he regrets not getting to know her earlier.

He tells Hello! magazine, "I wish I'd met Sal earlier. I can't think of another girl more suited to me.

"It was a wonderful day. She looked beautiful walking through that doorway. I feel very blessed to have a new family. My dad and brothers are no longer with us so it's really nice to be welcomed by a new gang. Her relatives are lovely."

Sir Paul McCartney and Rod Stewart were at the groom's side as best men, and Wood insists it was an honour to have his pals there on the big day.

He says, "They have always been very supportive of me and Sally. Paul was saying at (his wedding), 'Wow, this is wonderful, you two make a great couple.'"
