Royal Marine Commando Dies In Afghanistan
A Royal Marine Commando has died in Afghanistan from natural causes, the Ministry of Defence has said.
The serviceman's family have been informed.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time," the MoD said in a statement.
The death brings the total number of members of UK forces to have died since operations in Afghanistan began in October 2001 to 433.
Last week, Captain James Anthony Townley of 21 Engineer Regiment, the Corps of Royal Engineers, and Sergeant Jonathan Eric Kups of 28 Engineer Regiment died in separate incidents last week.
Neither death was believed to be the result of hostile action.
