Russell Brand's father suffers money problems

Russell Brand's father is reportedly facing bankruptcy after allegedly amassing a £13,000 debt.
Ron Brand is said to owe the sum in unpaid rent but is refusing to borrow the money from his wealthy son as he doesn't want to "burden" him.
The funnyman's father is due to appear in court on Tuesday when a judge will decide if he should be declared bankrupt, according to the Daily Mirror newspaper.
A source tells the publication, "Ron would never want to burden Russell with his problems and would never dream of asking for money. It's a really stressful situation but Ron is determined to work through his problems. Ron's made a couple of bad investments and has struggled financially as a result. It's obviously upsetting but he's confident he can turn things around."
An order of sale has been applied for on the home he owns in Surrey, which would force him to sell the property and settle the debt.
Ron split from Russell's mother Barbara when the actor was six years old and, despite the pair's relationship being strained at times, father and son have kept in contact.
