Savile to be buried 'overlooking' Scarborough coast
Beloved TV star Sir Jimmy Savile will be buried in an upright coffin overlooking the sea.
The former Top of the Pops presenter and dedicated charity campaigner passed away at the age of 84 last month, and his closed coffin has been on display in his hometown of Leeds since Tuesday.
During the three-day period of mourning, Savile's body will be transported around some of his favourite locations in the city on Wednesday before a funeral service is held at a local cathedral.
On Thursday, the burial will take place in the coastal town of Scarborough - and in keeping with his wishes, Savile's coffin will be interred at a 45-degree angle so it's "overlooking" the sea.
