Soldier Killed Ex-Girlfriend In Front Of Son

A soldier who stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death and then stamped on her face in front of their four-year-old son has been jailed for life.
The youngster cried: "Daddy's killed Mummy," after Ian Lowe, 25, killed Leanne McNuff, 24, at her home in Droylsden, Greater Manchester, in March.
Lowe will serve a minimum of 28 years in jail after a jury at Manchester Crown Court found him guilty of her murder.
He admitted her manslaughter but claimed a defence of a loss of self-control after he discovered she had an abortion without telling him and also had an affair.
The lance corporal in 1st Battalion the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment, based at Catterick, North Yorkshire, was also upset she planned to move away with the son and had sold his pet dog, Princess.
Sentencing him, Mr Justice MacDuff said the jury was not fooled by his explanation and that he had gone around to her house to "get even with her" by blaming her for the mess he had got himself into.
He said: "She was in the sanctuary of her own home and you committed a wicked attack on her in the presence of your four-year-old son.
"You broke into that house, you literally kicked the door down. You ran up the stairs and you stabbed her to death with a knife and then stamped on her face.
"It was a frenzied attack. Within a space of less than half a minute you had inflicted 10 different wounds, virtually all of them when she was lying defenceless on the floor.
"The fear and pain she must have felt in her dying minutes is unimaginable. You are evil and dangerous."
what do you think?

How cruel and sad . My heart goes out to the poor boy and his mum and. Their family. I hope he is kept locked away for ever . The world can do without cruel sadistic people but I hope he doesn't have it easy inside. I am a tax payer and I dont want to pay for his play station , plasma teli and all the other luxuries they have !!!!!

....just to add, our young man is coming up 13, he's well adjusted, plays for a local rugby club, and I know his mum would be very proud of him, I hope that in time that other little boy will also have a good life, and know his mum would be so proud of him...

Pure Evil! Trained to kill at tax payers expense then turns it onto someone he's supposed to have loved. Did he for one moment think of his son and how it would effect him or is he really that selfish and hatefull, turned out he was. Hope he rots inside forever with no hope of ever getting out. My heart and best wishes go out to Leanne's family, friends and especially her little man.

Good enough for him! Keep him inside forever, no release....as it should be for all murderers! I hope her little son will taken in and loved, and in time the trauma will fade....brought back memories, my own grandson told a nurse as his bad arm was being tended..." my daddy murdered my mummy" it made front page news, with our full blessing, to hopefully reach out to anyone living in fear to get out, kids are very resilient, and with love and time they heal....

Yes, it was my mel, Kimberly, 8 yrs ago, try not to "go on" about it, certain posters on here get a bit annoyed, I do only ever bring it up if it's relevant, or in this case, it took me back....because her little man was 4, as was ours, I would hate it if I was thought of as " attention seeking"....I'm not, thank you for your lovely comments x. :-)

Julie you're not attention seeking when you can genuinly relate to a story. I have read many of your comments and agree you only mention Melanie when it's appropriate to the story, God bless anyone who has had to go through what you have.
