Soulja Boy creates Stop Kony song
Rapper Soulja Boy has added his voice to the global campaign aimed at bring Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony to justice by recording a song about the cause.
Stars such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift have already joined the call for an international task force to continue their efforts in tracking down and capturing the Lord's Resistance Army leader, who stands accused of abducting thousands of African kids and forcing them to serve as either sex slaves or child soldiers.
Now the Crank That (Soulja Boy) hitmaker, 21, is lending his support via a new track Stop Kony, on which he urges fans to "Stop Kony before it's too late".
The Kony 2012 movement was sparked by filmmaker Jason Russell, whose 30-minute documentary promoting the efforts of campaign group Invisible Children has garnered almost 80 million views on YouTube.com since it was posted online on 5 March.
Russell's plan is to make Kony as visible as international celebrities in the hope that his infamy will speed his capture.
