Soulja Boy wins £125,000 on Super Bowl bet

Rapper Soulja Boy was the real winner at the Super Bowl on Sunday after scooping £125,000 on a bet.

The hip-hop star tried his luck by backing the Baltimore Ravens to triumph against the San Francisco 49ers at America's biggest sporting event, and came out £125,000 richer when the Ravens beat their rivals 34-31.

Telling fans of his luck on Twitter.com, the rapper writes, "I'm rich! waddup (sic). 200k richer."

Explaining the thinking behind his bet to TMZ.com, he tells the website, "I knew it was (now retired Ravens linebacker) Ray Lewis' last night, I knew he wouldn't lose."

Asked how he would spend his winnings, he added, "I might go and buy a new car tomorrow."
