Stars turn out to remember Victor Spinetti
Michael Ball and Christopher Biggins and musician Sir Paul McCartney were among the stars who came together in London last week to pay tribute to late actor Victor Spinetti.
The Welsh screen veteran lost his battle with prostate cancer at the age of 82 in June, and the former Beatles star subsequently spoke of his grief at the loss of Spinetti, who befriended the Fab Four after appearing in their 1964 feature film A Hard Day's Night.
McCartney was among the mourners at a special service for the actor in the capital last Tuesday and he was joined by Ball, Biggins, model Twiggy and actress Barbara Windsor at the church memorial, held at St Paul's Covent Garden.
As he left the service, the singer was spotted clutching an order of service with a picture of Spinetti below the heading 'A Life Crowded Without Incident'."
