Stevie Wonder's cousin to stand trial over blackmail claims
Stevie Wonder's cousin has been ordered to stand trial over an allegation he tried to blackmail the singer.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ray Jurado ruled on Thursday that a jury will decide whether Alpha L. Walker and his girlfriend Tamara E. Diaz attempted to extort money from Wonder.
The two have been behind bars since they were arrested in May following a sting operation by cops, during which they had allegedly tried to blackmail the singer for £312,000.
Walker and Diaz have pleaded not guilty and are due back in court on 26 July for an arraignment hearing, according to the Associated Press.
