Stone Roses dismiss reports Reni is too ill for comeback gigs

A representative for the Stone Roses has dismissed rumours Alan 'Reni' Wren is too ill to join the cult band's upcoming reunion concerts, insisting the drummer "can't wait to play the shows".
The Fools Gold hitmakers, fronted by Ian Brown, announced last year they are reforming after 15 years apart for a world tour, which will kick off in Spain next month.
Speculation emerged that Wren would not be well enough to appear with his bandmates, and on Sunday Dodgy drummer Mathew Priest said on XFM Radio, "I've heard rumours that Reni might not be playing - he's not well apparently and they're rehearsing with another drummer. They've sold a lot of the 250,000 tickets because of Reni - I'd want to see them with Reni."
However, a spokesperson for the band is adamant the story is untrue, telling The Sun, "The Stone Roses are currently rehearsing for their forthcoming dates. All four members can't wait to play the shows."
