Bobsledder smashes way out of locked bathroom

US bobsledder Johnny Quinn literally took matters into his own hands after he got locked inside a bathroom at the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.

Quinn, a push athlete on Team USA's two four-man sled, had no alternative but to smash his way out after the lock in his bathroom got stuck after he had taken a shower.

The former NFL player posted a photo on Twitter of his feat of strength after he had smashed the door down, with the hashtag #SochiJailBreak.

"I was taking a shower and the door got locked/jammed...," Quinn wrote on his Twitter page @JohnnyQuinnUSA.

"With no phone to call for help, I used my bobsled push training to break out."

It was unclear whether Quinn would face disciplinary action or how much a replacement door might cost.
