Teenage Girl's Attacker Caught On CCTV
Video of a 16-year-old girl being knocked unconscious in an unprovoked street attack has been released by police.
CCTV footage shows the assailant approach the victim from behind before punching her so hard she falls over, hitting the pavement face-first.
Police are appealing for information after the teenager was followed from her home by her attacker, who struck without warning outside the Black Lion pub in Plaistow High Street, east London.
Scotland Yard described the suspect as black and muscular, wearing a black baseball jacket and jeans, with a shaven head and aged between 25 and 30.
A Metropolitan police spokesperson said: "At about 12.30pm on November 13, a male suspect followed a 16-year-old girl from her home address for approximately 500 metres.
"When he was near the Black Lion public house, he ran up behind her and threw a punch to her head.
"This was an unprovoked attack. The victim fell to ground and was unconscious."
After the assault, the suspect turned around and jogged back towards Green Gate Street.
The girl was taken to hospital and released with cuts and bruises later that day.

Orange removed my comment, it was probably over the top but I watched the video and was totally disgusted with this complete and utter coward, I had used a much stronger (edited) word! If I offended anyone, I apologise unreservedly! However I wasnt the one who punched this poor defenceless girl! I still hope he is caught and left in a room with the girls relatives and see how brave he is then!!!

If this man is caught then whats the bet he will just get a lenient sentence. But, maybe im the only one who thinks this because the law doesn't, is that this man is a deranged psychopath and should never be allowed out on the streets ever again because he will kill someone. But the law and do-gooders disagree.

What is this country coming to, that this thug can do this to a young woman in daylight hours, but like the previous comment said if someone had tried to stop this we would have been accused of racism or breaching his human rights. Lets get a grip on our country before it is too late.

It's already too late the do-gooders and tree huggers the EU and it's human rights .Protection of the so-called ethnic minority have created the society we now have to live in . Paul this is not an issue of racism- why do you insist on turning every news item into a tiresome rant about "so called ethnic minorities". A man assaulted a woman. He may be mentally ill or he may be a bad, violent man. If, in the course of time, we find out that he targeted this woman because she was white, then it will be a racist crime. At the moment, it's a crime.

Louisa I agree that this probably isn't a racist attack but I wonder if we would be saying the same thing if the skin colour of the people involved was reversed ?? I think you would but there are plenty in positions of power who wouldn't

A real hero this guy..When he's caught hopefully sooner rather than later, hand him over to the girl's family because the courts will let him off with a slap on the wrist after the social workers and do gooders put in their pleas in mitigation.

She will recover, given time Emma. A similar thing hppened to me many years ago. I was scared and jumpy for a few years but the fear does fade.

Kimberley, I agree BUT an animal would never behave like that. It may attack through fear or food but never for fun.My dog is an animal but he's never attacked anyone.

What people? Have you seen the video? There was nobody around even for seconds after the coward ran away, and even if there waa the attack probably wouldn't have happened. Inside the pub may have been different...
