Terrence Howard reaches settlement deal

Iron Man star Terrence Howard has agreed a settlement deal with his estranged wife, more than a year after she filed for divorce.

Michelle Ghent submitted legal papers to end the marriage in February, 2011, days after the couple celebrated its first wedding anniversary.

She was granted a restraining order against Howard last December after claiming he hurt her during their short marriage.

In February, a judge ordered the actor to pay her £31,250 in temporary support until they could work out the details of their divorce settlement - and now the former couple has finalised a deal, according to TMZ.com.

The pair signed the papers on 16 August and the restraining order against Howard will expire next week.
