The Feeling star reaches out to fans over postponed tour
The Feeling frontman Dan Gillespie Sells has apologised to fans after the band's upcoming tour was postponed by six months.
The group's dates were due to kick off in April, but they have called off the trek and rescheduled the shows for October and November.
Singer Gillespie Sells has put the move down to the band's change in record label, revealing their new bosses wanted them to tour around the release of their next album later in the year.
In a post on the group's website, he writes, "I wanted to write a note to say how genuinely sorry we are to hear that some of you have had your travel/accommodation plans messed up by the moving of the UK tour from April to October...
"Happily, the tour has sold really well - so that wasn't the issue - but we're actually in the process of signing a new record deal... and the new label need the tour to be around the release of the new album, later in the year. Our very experienced live booking agent was strongly of the opinion that we couldn't do a tour in April *and* another in October (as most acts' fans only want to see them once a year), so that led to the very difficult decision to move the existing tour... Apologies again for the hassles it's caused some of you."
Gillespie Sells goes on to invite disappointed ticket-holders to apply for free places at an upcoming studio session in London next month which will also be streamed over the web.
He adds, "We'd like to invite a few of you to come along... to watch a 40-minute acoustic set and hang out with us... Places are obviously quite limited... but we'll pick as many of you as we can (in fact, we'll do two sets in one day if we have to!!)... Thanks, as ever, for your incredible support."
