:: Monday, July 28
On Monday, Ryanair will release its first quarter results for 2014 as it seeks to recover from its first drop in net profits in five years during last quarter. The no-frills airline has issued two profit warnings in the past year. The deputy chief executive Howard Millar will join us on Sky News in the morning.
:: Tuesday, July 29
Twitter releases half year results on Tuesday evening. It will aim to reduce losses which totalled $132m in the first quarter.
Also, BP will update the market on its half year earnings. Analysts are predicting a fall in earnings per share of about a third for the year ending December 2014.
:: Wednesday, July 30
A big few days for the FTSE 100 begins with AstraZeneca releasing its first results since the failed takeover by Pfizer. Barclays and British American Tobacco follow suit. US growth figures are also out.
:: Thursday, July 31
On Thursday, Centrica, Diageo, Lloyds Banking, Royal Dutch Shell and Thomas Cook are amongst the FTSE heavyweights all releasing quarterly results. The travel giant in particular will be under the microscope as it aims to appease investors after its share price lost almost a third of its value over the last three months.
:: Friday, August 1
On Friday, jobless numbers are out from the United States. They are expected to show lowest level of jobless claimants since 2006.
Also, the UK manufacturing purchasing managers' index report is due at midday and will show if the manufacturing sector can maintain the momentum after expanding at its fastest rate for seven months in June.
