Tom Cruise's 'new girl' denies romance rumours

The restaurant manager who has been linked romantically to Tom Cruise has dismissed reports the two are dating.

Cynthia Jorge and the Top Gun star were spotted dancing together at New York club Le Baron on 18 December, sparking rumours that the movie star had found a new love to fill the void left by his actress ex Katie Holmes.

Reports suggested Cruise swept Jorge off her feet after meeting her in the Big Apple restaurant where she works, but the pretty 26-year-old, who is almost half the star's age, has told friends there's no romance.

One pal tells blogger Perez Hilton, "Cynthia told me they went out for drinks and it was nothing but a casual night out. She said he's a nice guy."
