Tom Sizemore Made Up Hurley-Clinton Affair

The Hollywood actor who claimed that former US President Bill Clinton had an extramarital affair with British actress Liz Hurley has admitted he made the story up.

In a recording obtained by a US website, actor Tom Sizemore alleged the pair had a sexual relationship for about a year from 1998.

But he has now said: "It's not true. I was never at the White House and I've never met Bill Clinton.

"I'm not denying that I said these things.

"I don't remember saying them - it's an old video and they are the rantings of a guy, and it has been chronicled, who had a very severe drug problem. None of it is true.

"I wasn't willingly videotaped but those were the kind of folks I was hanging around with back before I went to celebrity rehab."

Sizemore - who has also claimed that he himself dated Hurley for three years - went on to say: "I do apologise for any hurt I may have caused her or the Clintons.

"I have no idea if Hurley and Clinton know each other."

The model-turned-actress fuelled front page headlines by taking to Twitter to deny the affair.

She tweeted: "Ludicrously silly stories about me & Bill Clinton. Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn."

Sizemore, 52, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, originally claimed the former president cornered him and asked for Hurley's number at a White House screening of Saving Private Ryan.

The actor - who also starred in Black Hawk Down - quoted Clinton as saying: "Listen Elizabeth, this is the President! I don't have any time for this s***.

"I'm keeping the world from nuclear war all the time. I'm sending a plane to pick you up."

He then alleged that the pair slept together that night in Lincoln's bedroom, while Hillary Clinton was asleep next door.

Sitting alongside his manager, Sizemore issued his grovelling apology in a live interview with the Huffington Post.

Both men insist they do not know who is behind the tape but that someone had tried to extort money from them.
