Tony Blackburn's bedded 500 women

Veteran radio DJ Tony Blackburn has shed his squeaky-clean image by revealing he's slept with 500 women.

The former I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star admitted his sexual escapades during an interview with the Radio Times after he was asked to compare his love life to actor Bill Roache, who recently said he's bedded more than 1,000 females.

Blackburn declared, "I did very well, but I couldn't top that (Roache's figure)."

The radio star admits his Lothario ways were in his heyday: "I'm not proud of it, but I was single in the '60s. I'm happily married now and never once been unfaithful, so I'll never top William."

But Blackburn found it easy to attract women given his celebrity status.

He adds, "Well, I did go out with Lyn Paul of the New Seekers. She was very short-sighted, so I had to read the restaurant menu to her. I don't even think she realised she was out with me."
